Have a Seat, Make a Difference
Local Craven County artists have generously donated their time and talent to paint chairs, which will be auctioned by Major General USMC (ret.) Tom Braaten at the Hammer It Home event on Friday, November 7th.
Chair-ity Artists include: Ashley Layne McDaniel, Anna Lee Ash, Bernice Abraham & Teresa Hodock, Christine Flannigan, Elizabeth Spencer, Joanne Gwaltney Ashton, Justise Robbins, Mayte Chavez, Pollie Howland, Rachel Burger, Terrianne Maltese, and student artist Katherine Ivey Hudson Wright.
Chairs will be displayed in the windows of local businesses during September and/or October, and at the Habitat ReStore during the first week of November.
Participating Businesses: Baker’s Kitchen Restaurant and Bakery, Ballantyne Framing & Art, Branch’s Furniture, Community Artists Gallery, Harrison Center at Christ Church, Mitchell Hardware, Morgan’s Tavern & Grill, Overman Capital Management, Peacock’s Plume, Tom’s Coins and Antiques, and Twin Rivers YMCA.
