Habitat for Humanity of Craven County’s 35th anniversary fundraiser set for Nov. 1
Habitat for Humanity of Craven County is celebrating 35 years of providing critical housing services to the community with its “Hammer It Home” fundraising event on Friday, November 1. The event will be held at the Pavilion at Carolina Colours Golf Club from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and will feature a Reverse Drawing with the winning ticket receiving $5,000.
Another highlight of “Hammer It Home” will be the return of the CHAIR-ity Live Auction of 10 chairs hand-painted by local artists. The featured artists who lent their time and talent to help support Habitat for Humanity of Craven County’s mission are: Ashley McDaniel, Cheryl Gerhart, Heide Lock, Heidi DiBella, Jan Francoeur, John Hanley, Mary Phelps; Nicole Pierre; Sami Taglieri and Toni Taglieri.
The evening will also feature a Silent Auction, Playhouse Raffle, giveaways, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres by Thee Catering Company and music with the Bridge Atlantic Band. Tickets for “Hammer It Home” are $75 each and can be purchased at CravenCountyHabitat.org
The main sponsor for this year’s event is B/S/H Home Appliances Corp.
The MC for the evening will be George Oliver. The Live Auction will be hosted by Ret. General Tom Braaten.
Over the last 35 years, Habitat for Humanity of Craven County has helped build homes for more than 80 local residents, providing safe and stable living environments for adults and their children.
