Habitat for Humanity of Craven County Gives Back!
At Habitat for Humanity of Craven County, building homes is just one way we build community. Our staff, volunteers, and partner families proudly roll up their sleeves to support local events and neighborhood projects that make Craven County a better place to live.
Recently, our team joined Bike MS to cheer on riders and help with event logistics, showing our support for those raising awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis research. We also participated in the Adopt-A-Block neighborhood trash cleanup, helping neighbors beautify their streets and foster a stronger, cleaner community. This was our third year in a row of helping Christ Church sort and unload pumpkins for their beloved annual Pumpkin Patch, keeping a favorite fall tradition thriving. And we stepped out for a cause at the CROP Hunger Walk, helping raise awareness and funds to fight hunger here at home and around the world.
Whether it’s lending strength to a fundraiser, a neighborhood, or a seasonal celebration, Habitat is committed to giving back to the community that gives so much to us. Together, we’re building more than houses—we’re building hope, connection, and pride in Craven County.
Would you like to get involved? We encourage our community members to come out and support our efforts by signing up to volunteer in the Habitat ReStore, warehouse and at the construction site — no experience necessary! If you are interested in working alongside our volunteers and our Prospective Homeowners, please reach out to Buna Cumbie, Volunteer Services and Faith Relations Coordinator at BCumbie@CravenCountyHabitat.org
