Updates on COVID-19

We are continuing to monitor developments around the COVID-19 pandemic. Each day it becomes more evident that we will be dealing with this pandemic in the weeks and months to come. Each of us are being called upon to make sacrifices for the good of everyone. The safety of our homeowners, volunteers, staff and community at large is our number one priority. We are adopting the recommendations of the leading health experts and are following “social distancing” protocol. We have suspended accepting groups of volunteers who were coming to our community to assist in building and repairing homes for those in need. We also remain dedicated to serving our homeowners, and our community in the weeks and months to come.

We can get through this together. Habitat for Humanity of Craven County is prepared to help our community through these unprecedented times. In order to do so, we need the help of our supporters like you. One step we are taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is that we have closed our ReStore effective March 23 until further notice. By closing our ReStore, the revenue that helps support our efforts to serve our community will be significantly reduced for the time being. We know this sacrifice is needed for the greater wellbeing of everyone, but it also means that we need the support of our community more than ever to ensure that we will be ready to act once we have weathered this storm.

Please make a financial contribution to our mission. To donate to Habitat for Humanity of Craven County, please use this link. Together we will confront this challenge, and together we will continue to support those most vulnerable in our community. Thank you for your generosity, your compassion, and your help. Our thoughts and prayers are with every person, in every community, working to get through this challenge.

Our administrative office is closed to visitors effective March 23, 2020 until further notice. You may call to make an appointment to meet with the appropriate department via telephone.

Our ReStore operations is closed until further notice. All donation, pick-ups and drop-offs have been canceled. Please continue to check our website, cravencountyhabitat.org for further updates.

Construction/Critical Repairs will continue working with staff and limited volunteers. Please check with our volunteer coordinator 252-633-9599 x-104.

In-Person Volunteer Orientations have been cancelled until further notice. Individual online orientations can be scheduled by contacting Michelle Hooper at 252-633-9599 x-104.
